Elephant amigurumi, or Jewelry Box?

It’s been said that you’re never too old for stuffed animals, and I totally agree. But for those of you who are still unsure, or think it a bit amateurish to have a plush, read on to find what I discovered…

What is it you might ask? Well I’ll tell you. She’s an amigurumi Elephant that I crocheted for my mother-in-law. She had a bunch if earrings and scrunchies and needed a place to put them. I crochet my amigurumi using the back loop only, so the earrings hook wonderfully into the unused loops. As you can see, the trunk works well to hold the hair ties, and the scrunchies are on a headband that sits on the elephants back.

My daughter snuck into this one. ;-p

It’s rather unique, but it works. Not only does it jazz up this elephant (by the way the pink frill was also my m-i-l’s idea), but it fits the personality of the person to whom the elephant belongs.

If you like the elephant and would like one for yourself, visit my custom orders page and buy one today! (For those of you who know how to crochet, the pattern will be available soon. ;-)
